How to Change the Sensor on the Eutech EC-PCSTestr35 Multi-Purpose Water Quality Meter

How to Change the Sensor on the Eutech EC-PCSTestr35 Multi-Purpose Water Quality Meter

The EC-PCSTestr35 sensor is an uncomplicated and highly accurate water quality meter that is capable of measuring pH, conductivity, salinity, temperature, and total dissolved solids (TDS). The tester will determine any or all of the five parameters you need to monitor when maintaining water quality in a swimming pool, spa, aquarium, cooling tower, food processing facility, plus more.

A notable feature of the Eutech EC-PCSTestr35 is its replaceable sensor. When the sensing component becomes damaged, when readings become inconsistent, and the meter no longer calibrates, its time to change the sensor. Sensor replacement involves seven easy steps and costs a fraction of purchasing a new meter!

How to Change the Sensor on the Eutech EC-PCSTestr35 Multi-Purpose Meter

  1. You can purchase replacement sensors separately. Click here to purchase a replacement sensor for Eutech EC-PCSTestr35. Product Code: PCSENSOR.
  2. Twist off the sensor collar and put it aside. If the O-ring falls out of place, put this aside too.
  3. Pull to remove the old sensor then discard it.
  4. To install the new sensor, line up the tabs and eight pins to the instrument body, and push the sensor into place. Do not force. If there is resistance, double-check that the pins are lining up correctly.
  5. Put back the O-ring in the collar and ensure that it is sitting flush.
  6. Twist the ribbed collar back into place. The O-rings create a watertight seal and should cause some resistance when twisting.
  7. Calibrate the meter before use.

Conclusion

Replacement of the Eutech EC-PCSTestr35’s sensor is essential when the meter starts to show erratic readings, will not calibrate, or shows signs of damage. Sensor replacement is an uncomplicated task performed in seven simple steps.
