How to Setup the IC-pH610B Bluetooth pH/Temperature Tester to the Jenco Wand App
Materials
- IC-pH610B Bluetooth pH/Temperature Tester
- pH 4 Buffer Solution
- Two AA Batteries (Included)
- Container for fresh buffer solution
- Mobile phone or tablet
Method
- Remove the single screw on the top of the device then remove the battery compartment cover.
- Install the two included AA batteries, observing the polarity.
- Replace the battery compartment lid and screw back into place.
- If this is the first time using the pH reader, soak the electrode in pH 4 buffer solution for between 0.5 - 2 hours before the first use.
- Download the Jenco Wand app, ensuring that the product code in the App title corresponds with the device you have. Note: there is a paid pro version of the Jenco wand app with enhanced features. See Appendix A (below) for the Basic vs. Pro app breakdown to determine the best one for your needs.
- Once downloaded, open the app. When opening the app for the first time, it will give you a quick overview of how to get started.
- Press the power button to switch on the meter. There will be two quick consecutive repeating blinks of the Bluetooth light to indicate the wand is on and in pairing mode.
- Press the settings tab on the bottom right-hand side of the app.
- Then press ‘pair’ on the top of the screen.
- The app will display all available and in range meters. Press connect when you see your device appear.
- The meter will connect almost instantly.
