Choosing force capabilities:

There are many different force capacities available from as little as 2N (200gf) all the way up to 1000N (100kgf). It is important to choose a gauge with suitable capacity to ensure the load cell cannot be overloaded easily when performing your testing and it is recommended to move up to the next model as a precaution, provided the display resolution is acceptable.

For example, if you are testing around 40-45kgf, consider the 100kgf version to be safe as the 50kgf will be operating up around 90% of its capacity.

Importantly, at very low test forces (200gf to 5kgf) it can be very easy to overload the load cell through accidental impact by even a thumb and forefinger.
