KX PVC Cable is a single-pair, thermocouple extension and compensating cable with laid flat construction. Each conductor is insulated using heat resistant PVC with stainless steel braiding.

Each conductor is insulated in either Heat Resistant PVC, PFA, Fibreglass or Fibreglass with Stainless Steel braiding overall. The cores are laid flat and then overall sheathed in the same material with an optional stainless steel braiding for the fibreglass version.

All conductors used (except for compensating cable) are made from the relevant thermocouple material and meet ANSI MC96.1 up to the maximum operating temperature of the insulation material.
The type KX is a laid flat Extension Cable with yellow outer sheath, yellow positive wire and red negative wire.
