The HI8734 is a rugged, portable TDS meter designed for the water conditioning industry, particularly in the softening, demineralization, reverse osmosis, and drinking water applicaitons. It can also be used for a wide variety of environmental conditions.
TDS readings are adjusted with manual temperature compensation, assuring users of consistent and accurate measurements of total dissolved solids.
3 Year Warranty (2 Year Manufacturer Warranty + Bonus 1 Year Instrument Choice Warranty) for the meter only. Six months for the probe.
HI8734 Features
- Manually calibrated at one point in a standard TDS solution
- Three dedicated-range buttons to easily change range
- Meter communicates if reading is out of range and a new range should be selected
- The HI8734 has a set TDS factor of 0.5, meaning that 1 S/cm is equal to 0.5 mg/L (ppm) of TDS.
- The temperature compensation coefficient, , is set at 2%/C, correcting the reading 2% for each degree Celsius change in the sample.
- The HI76301D four-ring probe that is supplied with the meter allows for a wide range of measurements with a single sensor
- The probe comes with a protective PVC sleeve that assures durability when taking measurements outdoors.
