Integrated Soil Moisture Monitoring Station - IC-SNiP-TER1-SL

The SNiP-TER1 is a 'Sensor Node Integrated Package' for LoRa, LoRaWAN, FSK or Cat-M1 communication of real-time soil moisture and temperature measurements, for continuous soil monitoring. Optional features include GNSS to record device location for spatially enabled data. The base SNiP-TER1 integrates 1x S-NODE and 1x METER Group TEROS-11 soil moisture sensor to a site's unique network, communication and power requirements. The S-NODE can support an added 3x TEROS-11 devices. The TEROS-11 measures the dielectric permittivity of a surrounding medium using capacitance technology. The sensor uses a 70 MHz frequency, which minimises salinity and textural effects, making it an ideal sensor in agricultural and standard scientific projects. S-NODE The S-NODE has been designed to support the broad suite of SDI-12 based environmental sensors. The S-NODE can support sensors with higher power requirements; a solar panel can charge either the internal lithium-ion battery or both the node and sensor can be powered by an external 12V system (e.g. battery or mains source). The S-Node's SDI-12 communications can be customised to allow for interfacing with any SDI-12 sensor. Soil can be highly variable in space, requiring numerous measurements and frustrating amounts of your research dollars. Not to mention the extra cost and hassle of replacement sensors if you need long-term data. Make long-term, large sensor networks simpler, longer-lasting, and more affordable with the ultra-dependable TEROS 11 soil moisture and temperature sensor TEROS 11 Soil can be highly variable in space, requiring numerous measurements and frustrating amounts of your research dollars. Features: - Increased volume of influence (1010 mL)
Volumetric water content (VWC) specifications Ranges: - Mineral soil calibration: 0.00 to 0.70 m3/m3
Accuracy: - Generic calibration: +/- 0.03 m3/m3 (+/- 3.00% VWC) typical in mineral soils that have solution EC less than 8 dS/m
NOTE: The VWC range is dependent on the media the sensor is calibrated to. A custom calibration will accommodate the necessary ranges for most substrates. Temperature: - Range: -40 to 60 C
NOTE: Temperature measurement, for applicable sensors, may not be accurate if sensor is not fully immersed in the medium of interest, due to longer equilibration time. Communication specifications: - Output: 1,000 to 2,500 mV
Physical specifications: - Dimensions (LxWxH): 5.1 cm (2.02 in) x 2.4 cm (0.95 in) x 7.5 cm (2.95 in)
