A Portable Hardness tester is measured in the scale of Leeb and then converted. As Portable Hardness Testers such as the LHT-200 series, LHT-D Series, HTR-1000 Series and the TH-170 Series can be self calibrated, they need a reference test block. Portable hardness tester blocks are special with a machined and polished surface. They require a weight of about 3kg and are about 55mm thickness. This ensures that there is no energy absorbed by the test piece and an accurate result is achieved.
