The Protimeter Salt Analysis kit enables a surveyor to analyses samples of wallpaper and plaster for the presence of soil salts.

Includes Nitrate no 1 (10 tablets), nitrate no 2 (10 tablets), chloride (10 tablets), plastic scoop, 10cc measuring beaker, 60cc measuring beaker, bottle of deionised water, instructions and large carrying case.

When soil water leaks into a space and subsequently evaporates, nitrates and chloride salts will be left behind. The Protimeter Salts Analysis Kit allows the user to quickly test for the presence of these salts on walls, plaster and wallpaper, thereby checking for potential rising damp although further analysis is needed to confirm this.
