Applications for use include workshop testing and QC, laboratory use, Metrology, production testing and including checking cylinder head and bore in automotive or railway track maintenance to name a few.
The metal case provides durability and the size is compact for portability. The easy to read OLED display can be read in bright environments without light interference. Low power consumption and automatic shut off allow for a long in use battery life of 20 Hours for ample testing. The probe is integrated in the unit for protection which makes the RTD-100 best suited for flat surfaces or large curves where access is easy.
The unit is easy to operate and can be calibrated using the included specimen. The sensitive probe traces the surface and converts the measurements into Ra or Rz. The measuring range for Ra is 0.05µm - 10µm and Rz is 0.1µm - 50µm.
