How to Set-Up the EL-WIFI-TH WIFI Wireless Humidity & Temperature Data Logger using the EasyLog Cloud App

The EL-WIFI-TH data Logger accurately measures the temperature and humidity of the ambient environment. The collected data is transmitted wirelessly via a WIFI network that can be accessed, shared, and saved via your PC or smartphone.

The EasyLog Cloud Smartphone App is the tool you'll need to Set-Up your EL-WIFI-TH. This video article takes you step-by-step through the process of using the App.

How to Set-Up the EL-WIFI-TH WIFI Wireless Humidity & Temperature Data Logger using the EasyLog Cloud App

1. Go to www.easylogcloud.com and signup for an EasyLog Cloud account. For a new account, select 'sign up now' and follow the prompts to create a new account.
2. Then on your mobile device, install the EasyLog Cloud App. See additional links (below) for android and apple store links.
3. Open the App and sign in to your newly created Easylog Cloud account by entering your email and password.
4. The App will open on the home screen. On this screen, select the three lines in the top left corner to enter the menu. Then, select 'Set-Up device' and then 'WiFi sensor.'
5. The App will guide you through the steps. Step 1 is to press the button under the LCD on the EL-WIFI-TH until you match the screen in the App. Both the data logger and App should display 'Set-Up 5'. Once displayed, press 'Next.'
6. Press and hold the button on the logger. It will now count down from 5 and then should show 'Set-Up A.' When Set-Up A is displayed, press 'Next.'
7. Wait while the phone attempts to connect to the device. When this is successful, 'Set-Up b' will appear on both the phone and logger. When Set-Up b is displayed, press 'Next.'
8. The App will now enter device Configuration; on this screen, you can select a name for the logger as well as the sample rate and the sync schedule. These parameters can always be changed later using the App. After selecting your desired parameters, press 'Next.'
9. In provisioning settings, select the WiFi network your device should use, enter your password then press 'Next.'
10. The phone is now connecting to the device. When connected, Set-Up C will appear on both the phone and logger. The logger will then run through C, D, E, then finally say 'done.' When the logger displays 'done' complete press 'Exit Set-Up.'
11. The App will return to the main menu. Press' View Devices'. The newly Set-Up logger will appear. The main screen gives an overview of the data logger's current measurement, as well as time and date stamped minimum and maximum temperature and humidity readings.
12. When in device view mode, enter settings by selecting 'Settings' in the top left. Here you can adjust device name, select probes (if applicable), adjust sample collection rate, Adjust the synchronisation schedule, Set or remove alarms, Set-Up email alerts, and device location.
13. Set-Up is complete. You can now position your sensor and start logging temperature and humidity.

Conclusion

The EL-WiFi-TH measures the temperature and humidity of its surrounding environment and transmits the data wirelessly to a mobile app or PC. After your Set-Up, the EL-WIFI-TH can be placed anywhere within the range of your network. If Set-Up using the EasyLog mobile App, you can access the results anywhere!
