How to Setup the EL-MOTE Cloud-Connected Data Logger
EL-Mote products are WIFI connected data loggers that measure temperature and humidity. Measurements are sent wirelessly to the EasyLog Cloud, where you can view your temperature and humidity measurements via a smartphone app or a PC, in realtime, and anywhere.

How to Setup the IC-EL-MOTE Cloud-Connected Data Logger
You will need:
- The four included AA batteries
- Sensor probe(s)
- A smartphone or tablet; and
- A screwdriver.
Method:
- Unclip and remove the mounting bracket.
- Use the screwdriver to unscrew the battery compartment.
- Connect the included temperature and/or humidity sensors, depending on your selected MOTE unit. To do so, unscrew and remove the rubber filler and plug in the sensor. Then, screw into place.
- Install the four AA batteries, observing the polarity. Do not refit the battery compartment cover and bracket.
- On your smart device, download the EasyLog Cloud App, and if you don't have an EasyLog cloud account go to easylogcloud.com to create one. Links for the app and account set up are in the additional links (below).
- Once the app has downloaded and you have signed in to your account, select 'setup device.'
- Then press 'MOTE.'
- Select 'WIFI.'
- Press the red setup button on the device. It will beep, and the LED will turn orange. Then, press 'Next.'
- Wait while the phone attempts to connect to the unit.
- A second beep from the device and a notification on the app indicates that the connection was successful. Press' Next'.
- This screen is for device configuration. Here you can give the device a name, select sample rate, and the synchronisation schedule. You can change the app settings at any time. Press' Next'.
- The device will list all the available WIFI networks. Select your WIFI network and enter the password. Press' Next'.
- Wait for the device to connect. The device will beep twice when the connection has been successful.
- You can choose to save device setup information (for quick setup of additional devices) or press cancel. Then press 'Exit Setup.'
- On the app, return to the main menu and select 'View devices.'
- Go to 'ALL.' Here the newly set up device will be listed. Press the device name for more information.
- Instantly you can see the current temperature and humidity measurements (if applicable), as well as the time and date-stamped minimum and maximum readings. Selecting graph displays the collected information in a graph.
- Once successfully set up and you are receiving temperature information to your EasyLog Cloud account, reinstall the battery door and screw it into place.
- Install the IC-EL-MOTE-T-Plus in a location near its place of application that is within the setup WIFI network.
Conclusion
The series of EL-MOTE temperature and humidity loggers are EasyLog Cloud-enabled. The EasyLog Cloud gives you infinite flexibility as well as peace of mind when you need to monitor the temperature and humidity of single or multiple environments.
