How to Setup the IC-XC0412 Temperature/ Humidity Weather Station

Featureful, visually pleasing and easy to set up, the IC-XC0412 is a desktop weather station with a host of features guaranteed to delight. This article explains how to set up the IC-XC0412, and gives an overview of each parameter setting.

How to Setup the IC-XC0412 Temperature/ Humidity Weather Station

Battery Installation and Sensor Connection

  1. Power up the outdoor sensor:
    1. Remove the battery door on the back of the sensor.
    2. Install the batteries observing the polarity.
    3. Replace the battery door.
    4. The LCD and status indicating LED will light up.
  2. Power up the indoor console:
    1. Remove the battery door on the base of the unit.
    2. Install two AA batteries into the indoor sensor observing the polarity.
    3. Replace the compartment door cover.
    4. The LCD will light up displaying all the indoor information as well as the time and date.
  3. Wirelessly connect the indoor console with the outdoor sensor:
    1. With the batteries installed, the station will automatically search for sensors, connect and start transmitting data. 
    2. When the outdoor sensor and indoor consoles are wirelessly connected, outdoor temperature and humidity data readings will appear on the LCD. 

Minimum and Maximum Memory

Minimum and Maximum Display

  1. Pressing MEM once displays the indoor and outdoor maximum temperature and humidity records.
  2. Pressing MEM a second time displays the indoor and outdoor minimum temperature and humidity records.
  3. A third press of the MEM key returns to the home screen.

Erase Minimum and Maximum Records

1. Press and hold the MEM key for three seconds to delete the minimum and maximum temperature and humidity records.

Time Settings

  1. Press and release the TIME button on the unit's back to switch between alarm 1 and alarm 2.
  2. Pressing and holding TIME allows you to move through and enter the time set up mode.
    1. When in time set up mode, use the UP and DOWN selection arrows on the front to adjust the parameter then press the TIME key on the back to move onto the next time setting. Repeat step 9a to set:
      1. Date format between DDMM or MMDD,
      2. Month,
      3. Day,
      4. DST auto or off,
      5. Hour,
      6. Minute,
      7. Second; and,
      8. Language.

Alarm Setup

View Alarms

1. Press the ALARM button on the console's back to switch on and off alarm 1 and alarm 2.

Set Alarms

  1. Press and hold the ALARM key to enter into alarm settings.
  2. Use the UP and DOWN selection arrows on the console's front to adjust the alarm parameters and press the ALARM button to move onto the next setting.
  3. You can adjust the ALARM HOUR and ALARM MINUTE and turn the ICE PRE-ALARM on or off.
  4. Press ALARM again to exit alarm settings.

Barometric Pressure Setup

  1. Pressing and releasing the BARO button changes the barometric pressure readout. Press to select between mmHg and hPa.
  2. Pressing and holding the BARO key allows you to change between the display of ABSOLUTE PRESSURE and RELATIVE PRESSURE readouts. To adjust;
    1. Press the up and down arrows and BARO to confirm your selection
  3. If in step 16, once the RELATIVE PRESSURE readout is selected, you can adjust the relative pressure value using the UP and DOWN selector keys. Press BARO to confirm and save settings.
