How to Use the Gallagher One Tank System with Desktop Display (G98133)

Connecting the Tank Unit to the Indoor Sensor

  1. Plug the desktop display into mains power using the included power adapter.
  2. Plug the sensor cable into the tank unit and lock it into position by turning the “thumb lock” on the connector body.
  3. Confirm the display screen is showing “Waiting”, then press and hold the circular push button on the bottom of the tank unit. Note: The unit does not always pair the first time so, if you receive a RED flashing light, wait a moment, then hold the push-button again.
  4. When the tank unit successfully connects to the system, the LED light next to the button will illuminate GREEN for 3 seconds.
  5. The LCD module will beep, and the message “Tank Added” will be displayed on the display unit.
  6. Press EXIT to enter the main menu.

Installation

Initially, the system needs to know the approximate height of your water tank before installation. Instrument Choice Scientists recommend that you physically measure your tank height. The correct height to measure is the height from the base of the water tank to the overflow outlet.

Once this height is known, reduce the measured value by 20cm and enter this calculated figure into the HEIGHT menu screen. For example, if your tank is 2.2m high, enter 2.0m into the HEIGHT settings screen. If the exact height is unknown, enter an approximate height using the lower side of the approximation.

Entering a reduced tank height allows the system to calibrate to the precise height more accurately.

  1. After connecting your tank, the indoor console will automatically display the HEIGHT adjustment screen after pressing exit (step 5 above). If not – navigate to the height adjustment screen by pressing TANK > SETTINGS > HEIGHT.
  2. Use the UP and DOWN arrows to adjust the height.
  3. Press EXIT to save and return to the main menu.
  4. Take the tank unit and the connected sensor cable to your tank and lower the sensor to the bottom. Ensure the sensor is located at the tank's base and away from the water outflow.
  5. Position the tank unit on the top of the tank for maximum exposure to sunlight. Use the included 10mm x 25mm stainless steel screws to mount the tank unit to the top of your tank.
  6. Attach the black multi-directional antenna to the top of the tank unit. Tighten the antenna until it is finger tight.
