How to Use the IC-800052 Indoor Air Quality Monitor with Colour-Coded Display

Backlight Modes

There are four backlight modes to choose from, these are:

1. AUTO

The backlight will change colours between green, yellow, or red in AUTO mode depending on the current CO2 level. Green will be displayed when readings are low, yellow will be displayed when the reading is high but not above the set alarm limit, and red will display when the measurement is above the set alarm limit.

2. AL

The backlight will only turn red when the unit reads above the set alarm limit.

3. ON

The backlight will turn white when ON is selected and remain illuminated indefinitely. In this mode, the colour displayed will not change based on readings. When setting up the device, you can choose from seven backlight options. (See backlight colour options in Appendix 1)

4. OFF

The backlight will not illuminate for any reason.

 

  1. To change the backlight and buzzer mode, short press the settings button.
  2. The current backlight mode will display. Press the settings button to cycle through each of the four available modes.
  3. When your selection appears on the LCD – wait. Press no keys for a few seconds, and the LCD will automatically return to the main screen.

Device Settings

The IC-800052 Indoor Air Quality Monitor with a Colour-Coded Display’s settings and functions can be adjusted to suit your needs.

  1. To enter the settings mode, hold down the SETTINGS button.
  2. The first setting is COL. You can select your desired colour for the backlight ON function in this mode. The default LCD backlight colour is white. Use the “+” key to move between the seven selectable colours. The colour order is as follows:
    1. White
    2. Turquoise
    3. Blue
    4. Purple
    5. Red
    6. Yellow; and
    7. Green.
  3. When your desired background colour displays, press the SETTINGS button to move to the following settings option.
  4. Next is alarm settings (AL). In this mode, you can adjust the alarm setting from 800 to 3000 ppm in intervals of 100. The default alarm setting is 1000ppm. Press the “+” key to cycle through the options.
  5. When the required CO2 alarm level is displayed, press SETTINGS to move on to the next option.
  6. The following settings option is Buzzer Activation (BU). You can switch the buzzer sounder ON or OFF. Press the “+” key to switch the buzzer ON or OFF.
  7. Press SETTINGS to move on to the next option.
  8. Eco-mode (ECO) is the following settings option. Press the “+” key to switch the ECO mode ON or OFF. When ECO mode is on, to save power, the backlight will dim from 22:00 to 6:00.
  9. The following setting is the time adjustment. Press the time display between 12 or 24 hours by pressing the “+” key.
  10. Press the SETTINGS button to confirm.
  11. The following setting is the adjustment of the HOUR. Press the “+” key to find the correct hour.
  12. Press SETTINGS confirm.
  13. The following setting is the adjustment of the MINUTE. Press the “+” key to find the correct minute.
  14. Press SETTINGS confirm.
  15. The final settings option is UNIT. Here you can select the temperature unit. Press the “+” key to choose between Celsius or Fahrenheit temperature display.
  16. Press SETTINGS confirm.
  17. As this is the last settings option, the device automatically returns to the main measurement screen – with all the settings saved.
