The rugged and reliable Vortex-Genie 2 Vortex Mixer is an essential and easy-to-integrate vortex mixer for any laboratory.
This unit takes up minimal bench space and includes a pop-off cup that can accommodate single tubes of almost any size and a 3-inch platform suitable for single or multiple test tubes. The 3-inch platform has a removable thermoplastic rubber cover that’s impervious to chemicals and easy to clean.
Not only does it come with everything required to get started, but there’s a wide variety of accessories and add-ons available that expand this vortex mixer’s capability.

This kit for the Vortex Mixer comes with a 6-inch (152mm) Platform, Microtube Foam Insert, and Microplate Foam Insert. Each insert fits into the 6-in Platform attachment and accommodates 60 microtubes or one standard footprint microplate. |

The TurboMix attachment permanently mounts to most existing Vortex-Genie 2 to provide extremely vigorous mixing of up to twelve 1.5ml or 2.0ml microtubes (snap-top or screw-cap) through a combination of vortexing and impact collision. This system is ideal for aggressive and rapid dissolution, resuspension or mixing of samples and is also convenient and practical for cell disruption in glass bead procedures. |
