Battery Installation

The battery compartment is located on the front of the unit.

1. Slide the compartment door to OPEN.
2. Install the included battery while observing polarity.
3. Close the door until it clicks into place. The display will light up and begin measuring temperature instantly.

Button Overview

On the measurement screen: Celsius/Fahrenheit selection. In alarm setting mode: Increases the alarm set value. Displays and resets the minimum and maximum recorded values. On the measurement screen: Switches the alarm ON/OFF. In alarm setting mode: Confirms the alarm set value Adjusts the temperature display between the fridge and room/ambient temperature.

View Minimum and Maximum Temperatures

The IC7209 Digital Fridge/Freezer Thermometer with Alarm automatically records and stores minimum and maximum recorded temperatures. Here’s how you review minimum and maximum recorded temperatures:

1. Press the MIN/MAX button one time to display the maximum measured value. MAX and the recorded value will appear on the LCD.
2. Press the MIN/MAX button a second time to display the minimum measured value. MIN and the recorded value will appear on the LCD.

How to Reset Minimum and Maximum Temperatures

1. To reset the current MIN/MAX memory, press and hold the MIN/MAX button for around two seconds.
2. All digits on the LCD will illuminate then your device will return to the temperature display.
3. The minimum and maximum values and automatic recording will begin again from this time.

Set an Alarm

You can choose to receive an alert by an audible alarm when temperature values are outside the user-set range. When the fridge sensor reading is breaches the set limit, an alarm will sound, and the small bell icon will flash on the LCD. The alarm sound will remain active for one minute. After one minute, the alarm will sound for 4 seconds every minute.

To set alarms:

1. Press the ALARM button for two seconds.
2. HI will appear on the screen, and the current HIGH alarm temperature value will flash on the LCD. Adjust the high-temperature alarm value by pressing the UP Selection Key. Each press will move it up 1° Holding the button will increase the value rapidly.
3. When your desired value displays, press the ALARM button to save.
4. Now LOW and the current low alarm set value will blink on the screen.
5. Press the UP Selection key to adjust the low alarm value until you reach your desired value.
6. Press ALARM to confirm the low alarm value.
7. The device will return to the main temperature measurement screen.

Switch ON/OFF Alarms

You can choose to switch your fridge alarm on or off. No audible alerts will activate when the fridge alarm setting is OFF, and temperature values exceed your set limits.

	Alarm is ON
	Alarm is OFF

To switch alarms ON/OFF:

1. Press the ALARM button to cycle between alarm ON and OFF.

Switch Temperature View Between Ambient and Fridge

You can change the temperature display on the IC7209 Digital Fridge/Freezer Thermometer with Alarm between ROOM or FRIDGE. The room temperature sensor is located within the display unit, and the FRIDGE temperature sensor is situated on the end of the 1-meter cable.

1. Press the ROOM/FRIDGE button to change the display temperature between the fridge sensor and the ambient/room sensor.
